On Tuesday 28 November, cleaning staff working for ISS on HMRC premises will be protesting in support of demands for a living wage and improved working conditions. Here is the latest information on the demonstration itself, and how you can show your support if you’re not able to attend.
The demonstration
The demonstration in Bootle will take place from 12pm outside the Triad building on Stanley Road.
We are asking all who can attend to bring their union branch’s banner or flags, wherever possible.
Clara Paillard from the PCS National Executive Committee, Ian Hodson from the Bakers, Food and Allied Workers Union (BFAWU), and Darren Pulling from the RMT union will be among the speakers.
How you can support if you cannot attend
We are asking individuals, branch committees and other groups of supporters to take a photo holding up our photocard to show support.
Download the photocard as a PDF here.
Email your photos to pcshmrccleaners@gmail.com, tweet them to @PCS4cleaners using the hashtag #justiceforcleaners, and share them to the One for All – Justice for HMRC cleaners Facebook page.
